AEMUS Fellow and FAEMUS
What does it mean to be FAEMUS?
SCUF is offering the opportunity to become a Fellow of Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasound (FAEMUS), pronounced “famous”. We want to honor our esteemed members who have successfully passed the ABEM AEMUS Focused Practice Designation examination with the ability to use the ‘FAEMUS’ credential to designate their status.
To become a Fellow of the Society of Clinical Ultrasound Fellowships (SCUF) you have to pass the Focused Practice Designation (FPD) in Advanced Emergency Ultrasonography. Eligible graduates from an Advanced Emergency Medicine Ultrasonography (AEMUS) fellowship may sit for the FPD Exam provided by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
AEMUS fellowships are accredited by the Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship Accreditation Council or EUFAC. EUFAC accreditation represents the highest accreditation available for point of care ultrasound.
