Fellow Lightning Talks
Calling all ultrasound fellows! Submit your Fellow Lightning Talks for the opportunity to speak at the Annual SCUF conference! What is new and exciting in ultrasound? Do you have a passion area or hot take on something in ultrasound and looking to get on your soap box? Whatever the idea is—we want to hear it!
What are the Fellow Lightning Talks?
The fellow lightning competition is a speaking competition between CURRENT ultrasound fellows. Each fellow has five minutes to talk about a topic of their choice which will be judged based on the criteria in the submission form.
What makes for a good topic?
We want to hear about something that excites YOU! This could be about the next new, unique, and exciting application of POCUS, an innovative educational curriculum or tool, a practice-changing research topic, or your hot take on an ultrasound controversy!
It is helpful to be specific when selecting a topic. For example, it is difficult to talk about transesophageal ECHO (TEE), artificial intelligence, transcranial doppler, or nerve blocks in a 5-minute presentation. Narrow the scope down, and keep it focused! Work with your fellowship director on a topic to present on, and please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions about topic selection!
