Didactics – opening January 2027 for SCUF27
Didactics are 5, 10, or 20-minute instructional talks that contribute new evidence, insights, perspectives, arguments, or ways of thinking. Speakers should have expertise in the topic proposed. Ideas for didactics include:
- Innovative administrative/educational initiatives
- Professional & personal development tips and tricks
- Hot takes on controversial topics
- Novel clinical ultrasound approaches
SCUF26 Research Rapid Oral Abstract Submission
Abstracts for in-person presentation are due July 1, 2026. The top 3 abstracts will be selected for presentation. If you have any questions regarding your submission, please contact Joseph Pare at joseph_pare@brown.edu .
SCUF26 Fellow Research Poster Submission
Posters are due July 1, 2026. All posters submissions will be reviewed and scored by the SCUF Research Subcommittee. Awards will be announced at SCUF26. If you have any questions regarding your submission, please contact Joseph Pare at joseph_pare@brown.edu.
SCUF26 SonoSTAR Image Competition
Teach the SCUF community with your best POCUS clips! Submit a high-quality POCUS clip, a brief clinical vignette, and a teaching infographic for a chance to present on the national stage at SCUF26!
The best submissions will reveal uncommon pathology or highlight unique presentations of more common diagnoses. Submissions will be scored by a panel based on the criteria below, with the top-scoring submissions being selected to be presented live and displayed at SCUF26.

The fellow lightning talk competition is a speaking competition between CURRENT ultrasound fellows. Topics should focus on the next new, unique, and exciting application of POCUS, an educational curriculum or tool, or a case that electrifies you. Each fellow has five minutes to talk about a topic of their choice, which will be judged based on, and a winner will be announced during the conference.
